What it evaluates

  • Warmth
  • Dryness
  • Ventilation
  • Repair response

Resident experience plus a structured observation and action register, informed by NZ Healthy Homes topic areas.

How to interpret it

Review each item separately, record missing answers and compare matched baseline and exit responses. Consider participant context, programme delivery and other influences.

Original HumanScope items require local piloting. They are not psychometrically validated tests, and before-and-after change does not establish causation.

Item directions differ: higher warmth/ventilation is favourable; higher dampness/repair impact is unfavourable. Compare each item separately. Record Not observed and Not applicable explicitly. Do not diagnose mould exposure, estimate insulation R-values, enter roofs/crawl spaces or certify Healthy Homes compliance. Refer technical assessment to qualified providers.

Your team collects. We can help analyse.

Request separately scoped data checks, analysis and periodic reports. Collection frequency, dataset size and reporting outputs are agreed in your proposal.

Contact us to discuss a tailored collection and reporting arrangement. Please do not submit confidential participant records through the enquiry form.
